  2.  Ensure that your referral mentions your name when obtaining a quote to ensure we know who to send the $10 gas card or grocery voucher to.
  3. This Promotion can end at any time without notice.
  4. Limit  of 3 referrals earning a $10 gas or grocery voucher card per household.
  5. You do not have to be a client of ICD Insurance Brokers Ltd. to earn the award.

ICD Insurance

Our brokerage was founded in 1931 by Percy Mahoney. Percy built the foundation of our firm one policy at a time. He took great pride in providing local families, businesses and farmers with customized insurance protection. In 1960 the Percy family sold the brokerage to Ivan Charles Day. Mr. Day would go door-to-door servicing his customers by hand delivering renewals, claims checks and collecting insurance premiums. Ivan was a pillar in the Keswick community for over 40 years, he was a highly respected businessman who always generously gave back to the community he helped protect.

In the 1970’s Ivan sold his business interest to Gordon Thomas, son Dave and daughter-in-law Anne. Together they built a successful Brokerage with a welcoming “small town” culture for employees and customers.

On May 1st 2008 the Thomas family sold Ivan C. Day Insurance Brokers Ltd. to a group of Insurance entrepreneurs who were working for a direct insurance company.  

The new partners changed the firm’s name to ICD Insurance Brokers Ltd. (an acronym of Ivan C. Day). When considering a new name for the brokerage, the new partners recognized the importance of maintaining the long standing tradition of the firm while freshening up its brand. At the time of the ICD acquisition, the firm consisted of one Keswick location and a staff of three Brokers. Three short years after the acquisition, ICD grew to a company with 3 locations, 30 brokers  and have increased their client base 10 fold.  They have achieved such incredible growth by leveraging technology and broker recruitment.
